Genesis 22 is the story of Gods request to Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, Abraham’s son.
God is asking the ultimate sacrifice for a father. Especially a father who has a son so late in life.
God stops Abraham in the act.
This passage illustrates Gods love of mankind as he sends Jesus his only son to shed his blood to provide a bridge for imperfect man back to the perfect God.
God knows what he is asking his son.
